1/14/26 - Police Spying in Michigan

Police Spying in Michigan was a publication by the Michigan Coalition to End Government Spying in the lates 1970s (possibly continuing later). There is little information about the publication online, though NYU supposedly has some relevant documents in their library system.

The copy shown here was found in the "free" bin at the Friends of the Madison Public Library book sale location within the Central branch of the Madison Public Library.

The 1970s in the United States was a time of mounting pushback against illegal and unethical operations by law enforcement agencies, largely orchestrated by the FBI, attempting to repress the first amendment rights of American citizens through espionage, intimidation, violence, and murder.
